It’s no surprise I feel a strong affinity to the idea of a Celtic ‘soul’ or ‘spirit’ having been born and raised in Ireland. A Celtic Soul is indicative of someone with a strong connection to the land, the earth, the elements, the elementals or Na Sidhe - the faery folk and my soul and vivid imagination has always felt a strong connection to all these things. It gives me a sense of freedom and beauty in the landscape’s wild nature.
As a child I was heavily influenced by my grandmother who grew up on a farm in The Boyne Valley in Co. Meath, right next door to ‘Bru Na Boinne’, the ancient and sacred sight of Newgrange. She was a strong and caring Celtic Soul who had a firm belief in traditional healing, and I remember her visiting wise medicine women or ‘bean feasa’ as was traditionally called in Ireland for ‘the laying on of hands’ to heal a whole host of complaints. She influenced me on my own journey to become a Nurse when I left school.
I have always been passionate about the Art and Craft of Natural Healing with plants and herbs and connecting to the earth and mother nature. It is my turn now to become the ‘bean feasa’ or wise woman as I enter my crone phase of life and I am so excited to be working in a holistic capacity as an independent practitioner and look forward to supporting you along your journey of honouring your 'celtic soul' and path in life.
Currently I am providing treatments from my home in West Oxfordshire and mobile home visits but will be seeing clients next Spring in my beautiful new Garden Studio called 'Mother's Haven'
